Since then I have carefully attained, read and re-read every one of her published poems. She really is a marvel, and one I strongly urge people to read. Her poems are light and funny but it no way trivial. Wendy Cope, OBE (born 21 July ) is a contemporary English poet. She read history at St Hilda's College, Oxford. She now lives in Ely, Cambridgeshire, with her husband, the poet Lachlan Mackinnon Serious Concerns in , If I Don't Know in , Family Values in , and Anecdotal Evidence in Wendy Cope was raised in Kent, England, where her parents often recited poetry to her.
